Nia Stands Tall | Downloadable Ebook + Printable Coloring Book (Ages 4–8)

Downloadable Ebook + Printable Coloring Book

Nia loves three things: her red kickball, her Pop, and recess. Then a big kid named Dex grabs her ball. "Mine now, Shrimp." Nia doesn't say a word. She tells Pop the day was "fine," but it wasn't.

In Pop's backyard, a little oak tree bends in the wind but doesn't fall, because its roots go deep. Pop shows Nia how to grow roots of her own: tell the truth, use a strong voice, ask a grown-up for help, and beat mean with good instead of more mean.

The lesson: Kind doesn't mean quiet. Kind can be strong, and telling a grown-up isn't tattling. It helps someone get out of trouble.

Scripture: Romans 12:21 (KJV): "Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good."

The refrain kids will repeat:
Roots down deep, I stand up tall.
With God I'm brave, and kind to all!
