Miles Goes First | Downloadable Ebook And Printable Coloring Book (Ages 4–8)

Downloadable Ebook + Printable Coloring Book

Miles lived next door to his best friend, Gus. Then Dad got a new truck route far away, and the family packed the big white truck. Miles cried on moving day. Mom said it was okay to be sad — sad means you loved something good.

In the new town, a girl named Priya bounced a ball alone down the street. Miles ducked. Waiting is easy, Dad said. Going first takes grit. Together they practiced Stop. Breathe. Pray. Step. Miles went first. Priya said maybe later. One no is not the end, so Miles tried again — and taught her how to fly paper airplanes.

The lesson: Going first is hard, and one try may not be enough. With God's hand holding yours, you can say hi again.

The refrain kids will repeat:
Wherever I go, I know, I know: God holds my hand, so here I go!

Scripture: Psalm 139:9–10 (KJV): "If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me."

Also: Proverbs 18:24 (KJV): "A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother."
